When issues occur, users can simply click the Prima QA button, select a problem, and add a resolution, instantly documenting the issue.

Open QA problems that need resolution in LabManager, including those that have locked the case and require manager intervention.

Click a problem to view details including who documented it, when, and where. Select the proper resolution to clear the issue or unlock the case.

Control Material

Users can click the control material icon when a sample is useful for control. The lab manager is notified and can accept or deny the requests from a view that includes a complete breakdown of all control material currently inventoried.

Control Material locks can easily be added to ensure that stained batches are properly run with correct control material.

Hardware Agnostic

Prima is capable of connecting to whatever hardware you have or may want in the future. We won't charge you anything extra on our end either.

Paperless Requisition Forms

Test Mode

At the login window, a checkmark can be clicked to use a separate server and database for testing and training. Attach a new printer? Test it out without effecting your permanent records. New user? Let them play around on the test system until they are comfortable.

Protocols

Define a standard number of jars. cassettes, and slides for each tissue type, anatomic site, and biopsy procedure that your lab encounters.

Cassette protocols dictate processor and embedding instructions, and whether or not the block will be cut through.

Slide protocols dictate the stain test, cutting depth, and dilution factor, among other things.

Search

Users have the ability to search historical Prima data and filter results to match defined criteria. The search function in Prima allows users to filter by disease state, tissue type, species, and researcher, among other things, to find specific results.

Patient Autocomplete

When entering patient information, Prima can pull in all related information from the LIS, EMR, or order systems to save time and decrease the chance of typing errors.

Notes

Use notes to send messages to a specific user or group of users. Decide whether the note requires confirmation or is standard. Each and every transaction is kept in the database for the manager and the user to view at any time.

CAP and GLP inspections can be frustrating and time consuming, but Prima has you covered. In Prima you can generate the lab quality and custody reports you need to get your lab running again fast.

Tracking

Monitor the lab workflow using Prima's LabManager module and feel at ease knowing that you will be alerted if a specimen, cassette or slide is taking an unexpectedly long amount of time to reach the next workstation.

At any time a manager or technician can view the history of a specimen, cassette, or slide to see who handled it, where, and when they last scanned it.
