When issues occur, users can simply click the Prima QA button, select a problem, and add a resolution, instantly documenting the issue.

Open QA problems that need resolution in LabManager, including those that have locked the case and require manager intervention.

Click a problem to view details including who documented it, when, and where. Select the proper resolution to clear the issue or unlock the case.

Control Material

Users can click the control material icon when a sample is useful for control. The lab manager is notified and can accept or deny the requests from a view that includes a complete breakdown of all control material currently inventoried.

Control Material locks can easily be added to ensure that stained batches are properly run with correct control material.

Barcoding

Prima enables your lab to move to a efficient, paperless system using barcodes. With advanced 2D barcodes Prima provides a comprehensive and easy to use solution that gives your lab the ability to track and locate items in the lab.

Paperless Requisition Forms

No more photo copying and printing duplicate requisition forms. After the requisition form has been scanned or uploaded into Prima, it can be accessed by technicians, managers and pathologists at a click of the button.

Reports

Reports for management, pathologists, and for regulatory groups can be generated at any time in Prima. We can produce custom reports for your lab, or you can use our online store to download new reports. Reports can be viewed on-screen, saved as a PDF, emailed, or printed.

Prima provides built-in dictation to support users that want to transcribe audio. We support integration with Dragon, Winscribe, and Powerscribe.

Digital Pathology

Prima is not a digital pathology suite, but it is digital pathology ready. The software sends key metadata to analysis software and can receive back reporting and analytic information.

Patient History

Easily view the patient's medical history at any time. Whether you want a pathology history or a full history through the EHR for better diagnosis, we have you covered.

Consults

Need a consult? Add one through local delivery, courier, or through our secure online portal.

Diagnose

View all pertinent case information including images and quality issues and add a diagnosis to each slide or to the entire case.

Choose how you want to diagnose the case: Prima enables voice recognition, but you can also select a built-in diagnosis from the drop-down or add one free-hand.

Tracking

Monitor the lab workflow using Prima's LabManager module and feel at ease knowing that you will be alerted if a specimen, cassette or slide is taking an unexpectedly long amount of time to reach the next workstation.

At any time a manager or technician can view the history of a specimen, cassette, or slide to see who handled it, where, and when they last scanned it.

Teaching Hospitals

If you are a teaching hospital and need to record diagnoses from resident pathologists, Prima has you covered. Enable "Teaching Hospital" in Control Panel and immediately start adding resident diagnoses. Pathologists can review the diagnoses, confirm or reject them, and add additional notes that the resident can view later.

Pathologist Mobile App

View cases that have been assigned to you as they move through the lab and receive notifications for cases that are ready for review right on your smartphone.
