Prima can run on MsSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and configuration is handled from an XML file, which can be switched or modified at any time.

At the login window, a checkmark can be clicked to use a separate server and database for testing and training. Attach a new printer? Test it out without effecting your permanent records. New user? Let them play around on the test system until they are comfortable.

Prima has highly configurable network protocols to meet the speed and security needs of all clients. Everything is set through XML config files and can be changed relatively easily.

Prima can be configured to use tunnel encryption, packet encryption, and a combination of the two. Prima forces the use of HTTPS for web-based access, if it is turned on.
